The encrypted messenger Telegram has overcome the milestone of 100 million active users
As you know, the project was founded by the famous Russian businessman Pavel Durov. The main function of Telegram is the exchange of messages in combination with confidentiality. Coding is carried out according to the “point-to-point” scheme: the message text is available only to the sender and the recipient.
If one of the parties deletes the message, it is deleted from the “two sides” at the same time. Users can also configure the destruction of messages after a certain time after reading. None of the messages falls into the “cloud”.
It is the unique privacy that made Telegram very popular among ordinary users. According to Pavel Durov himself, the instant messenger’s development was prompted by a burning desire to create a means of communication inaccessible to Russian special services.
