Real720Helmet – the world’s first helmet with a panoramic camera
The company Panoptes360 put on the kraudfanding site Kickstarter its development – module Real720Helmet, which turns any helmet into a panoramic camera. In this case, Panoptes360 offers users both separate modules and finished helmets.
Block Real720Helmet has a well-developed aerodynamics, weighs only 150 grams, records panoramic video in resolution up to 4K-30fps and shoots photos up to 16 megapixels. The built-in Wi-Fi module allows it to connect to the smartphone and broadcast the video stream in real time.
The module is powered by a 1400 mAh battery. The battery capacity is sufficient for 90 minutes of video recording or shooting 400 photos. It also supports MicroSD cards up to 128 GB in size and has a waterproof class of IP54. Delivered Real720Helmet in three sizes, which allow you to fix it on any helmet with the supplied elements and a 3M adhesive film.
All sets of Real720Helmet are assembled and tested in Italy. According to the developers, they are great for any kind of extreme sports – from snowboarding to skydiving. At the same time, they can be used in search and rescue operations, in speleology and even on the protective helmets of construction workers. Another non-standard solution – modules can be attached to quadrocopters and automatic navigation systems.
Team Panoptes360 has already received several patents for its development, including international ones. Among the nearest plans is to introduce transparent HUD-monitors into the helmets , for which maps and other important information will be projected.
